Rich in Tradition......Sipsey Arena is located just 20 minutes outside Northport, Alabama close to the scenic Sipsey River in Tuscaloosa County. We offer western riding lessons, trail riding, barrel racing and roping at many different levels along with summer camps, clinics, birthday parties, equestrian educational programs, cowboy church, training and boarding. Many western events are held throughout the year that are enjoyed by contestants and spectators alike. Our facility offers a 110 X 220 ft. covered arena completely equipped to host any western equine event. Since 1989 Sipsey Arena has hosted more barrel races, team ropings, team pennings, horse shows, calf ropings, bull rides, Wild Horse Ministries, barrel racing clinics, roping clinics, bull riding clinics and rodeos and other equestrian events than any other facility in Alabama. It was listed in the Barrel Horse News as one of the top NBHA payouts in cash prizes in the nation. There have been over 350 Team Roping saddles and multiple calf roping saddles given away with at least 10 horse trailers given to contestants. Due to the recent disaster caused by the tornadoes in Alabama we are postponing the Northside High School Cheerleaders rodeo.  Sipsey Arena and the Northside Cheerleaders are taking this time to help those who have lost so much in our surrounding communities.
